JUNE 2019 UNIVERSAL NUMBERCAST + TAROTSCOPES
Hello, and welcome to the first post of my new monthly series:
Universal Numbercast + Tarotscopes
We begin with the heralding of summer in the Northern Hemisphere (and the coming of winter in the Southern): June 2019! We have several different numerological vibrations at play at this time, so let’s get started.
First things first: Assuming you are new to Numerology, we’ll need to define some terms right off the bat. To begin, let’s discuss the Universal Year and it’s meaning.
The Universal Year is the year that all of us incarnate on the planet live as a whole. It doesn’t always impact the details of our day-to-day lives, although the trickle-down effect of societal attitudes and the world’s larger life lessons under the Universal Year can certainly personally affect us. It’s often visible in the events we see in the news, and in the shifting outlooks around us. In summation, the Universal Year highlights the things we notice and witness upon the national and world stage, and in the social/cultural trends we see around us.
A little basic shop talk: How do we calculate the Universal Year?
It’s easy peasy.
Step 1: Break down the numbers of the calendar year, and add them together. 2+0+1+9 = 12.
Step 2: Take that total, break them down again, and add them up: 1+2 = 3.
Before we start analyzing the current year, we must back up a bit. Numerological cycles run in patterns of 1 through 9. We started a new numerological cycle in 2017, when we underwent a 1 Universal Year. 1 is the number of renewal, fresh starts, and new beginnings. The 1 vibration always follows after the 9 (2016), which represents endings of the old ways, cycles wrapping themselves up, and letting things go. It is a potent and powerful transition of death and rebirth. What is established in a 1 year (2017) has a lasting and indelible impact on the next eight years that follow, until the end of the 9 year has concluded. In other words, what was begun in 2017 will continue to impact our world as a whole until the end of 2025.
We are currently three years into this nine year cycle, nearing the halfway point of a 3 Universal Year in this nine year pattern. Like the other numbers, the number 3 is multi-faceted and contains both light and shadow sides. Under a 3 vibration, there is heavy emphasis on communication and conversation. There are lessons to be revealed about the power of our words, and the way we convey the meaning behind them (social media is naturally housed within the 3). There is a need for creative expression and outlet; without it, people can become stilted and energetically blocked. People who do not usually write may find themselves taking up the pen (or for our times, the keyboard) to express their opinions and ideas. 3s can amplify access to the thoughts and beliefs of the masses for better or for worse, so stay vigilant, remember to filter your content if need be (blocking hate speech, for example), and always check your sources. 3 is also an emotional number, so feelings and sensitivities across the board are usually amplified. Mix those amplified emotions with lessons about communication, and as you can imagine, things can go awry pretty quickly.
At it’s best, a 3 Universal Year can be a time of optimism, imagination, synthesis, and generosity. It can bring good luck in finances, and remind us to live in the now moment. I often associate the 3 vibration with the Roaring 20’s from the past century: the attitude of celebrating youthful expression and ideas, living in the now moment with abandon, and living for pleasure. Let the good times roll!
At it’s worst, a 3 Universal Year can bring out the gossipy and back-biting side in people, highlight the vanity of others, cause problems with staying focused, leave important projects unfinished, and leave people with the heartbreak and disappointment of broken promises. 3 energy can be very verbose and persuasive, but follow-through isn’t always guaranteed. Additionally, the 3 is a faster-moving kind of energy, and one that isn’t always conducive to self-regulation (aka expect to notice an uptick in people speaking before thinking).
So that’s a tiny snapshot of the energy in the 3 Universal Year. To go even further down the wormhole, let’s break it down and analyze our Universal Month – for indeed, every month has its own vibe as well!
To calculate the Universal Month, you add the current numeric month to the Universal Year. With June being the 6th month of the year, the current formula becomes 6+2+0+1+9 = 18. Add 1+8, and you get a 9 Universal Month.
In a 9 Universal Month combined with a 3 Universal Year, it is recommended that we remain as forgiving and tolerant of others as humanly possible. 9 is the number of the humanitarian, the Good Samaritan, and it calls upon us to set aside personal ego issues for the good of the collective whole. People sometimes say harsh and thoughtless things. As Mother Teresa said, “Forgive them anyway.” Larger societal lessons can revolve around themes of compassion, acceptance, and letting go of things beyond one’s ability to control. Because of this open-hearted/open-minded attitude, people may fall a little more easily into gullibility, believing everything they hear. Advice for the masses is to be kind and forgiving, but not to let the BS meter go off the rails. One can still take a principled stance against false words and manipulation from a position of gentleness.
In light of this numerological info, let’s proceed to your Monthly Tarotscope, broken down by your Birthpath number!
Your Birthpath represents the inborn gifts and natural personality traits you brought with you into this world. To calculate your Birthpath, add your day of birth, month of birth, and year of birth, then reduce it down to one number as delineated above. Example:
May 29, 1984
5+2+9+1+9+8+1= 35
3+5 = 8
(For those who are already advanced in numerology, this forecast will bypass the Master Numbers- i.e. if you are an 11/2 or 22/4, please read the tarotscopes for 2 and 4 respectively.)
Here we go!
Top Row: 1, 2, and 3 Birthpaths
Middle Row: 4, 5, and 6 Birthpaths
Bottom Row: 7, 8, and 9 Birthpaths
TOP ROW
1 Birthpath: Son of Wands, tilted right
1s are fabulous, however at times they may prone to being tightly wound, making them a little too serious. Let go of any inner tension you may be carrying, and give yourself over to the playful energy of the 3. Let your hair down, hang out with people that make you laugh, play games that release stress and shift you into a state of relaxed and happy ease. If the world offers you a chance to play, by all means, take it! Life can be fun. Go make it so!
2 Birthpath: Son of Discs, tilted right
Under the Universal 3/9 influence, the sensitive 2 which thrives under cooperation and diplomacy may find themselves feeling a bit directionless and unmotivated. The Son of Discs says it’s time to assess the progress of your current personal goals, pick up one (or any) that has fallen to the wayside, and then ACT. Any goals around communication for humanitarian efforts are especially supported. You can make a meaningful and harmonious impact, the perfect heart’s desire of a 2.
3 Birthpath: Strengh reversed
The 3s of the world can be either prone to overdue multitasking and subsequently become stretched too thin, or have so many ideas and thoughts they have difficulty picking just one and end up doing nothing. Whatever the case, Strength reversed says it’s time to contemplate the choices you make that leave you feeling weakened, tired, and disempowered. Get in touch with those things, and slowly craft a path to bring you back to optimum inner and outer vitality.
MIDDLE ROW
4 Birthpath: The Lovers
The Lovers card calls for the disciplined and pragmatic 4 to delve into the world of the heart- the perfect endeavor for the Universal 3/9 combo. Take your natural skills of loyalty, dedication, and organization, and parlay those admirable qualities into activities and people that open the door to your feeling self. For example, you could volunteer your time and energy to fledgling charities that need your eye for detail and structure. Make sure the people you love know how you feel. Under the 3/9 combo, this is an ideal time to say those all-important words: “I love you.”
5 Birthpath: 9 of Discs
The nonconforming, quick-paced 5 doesn’t always like to slow down and tend to practical matters, yet life often requires us to do so. With the 9 of Discs, this card says checking in on your financial situation can increase your peace of mind. The card itself doesn’t indicate troubles; rather it indicates protecting your investments and savings, so you can go on living that exciting thrill-seeking that 5s crave. With the 5s tendency to go to excess, the 9 of Discs says a little consistent attention will help keep the ground under your feet nice and secure. To quote Ben Franklin: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
6 Birthpath: Priestess of Wands, tilted right
Under the 3/9 Universal Combo, the nurturing and relational 6 may encounter such a large swath of people in need, they can throw themselves so hard into the realm of service that they may develop compassion fatigue and burnout trying to assist them all! The Priestess of Wands tilted right says not to forget that most important relationship of all: the one with yourself. Don’t forget to do the things that make you feel good about yourself. Go get that makeover. Write up a list of your accomplishments and read it every day. You have permission to give good things to yourself! You’ll be an even better helper when you make sure you are also helping yourself.
BOTTOM ROW
7 Birthpath: Shaman of Wands reversed
The quiet, introspective, deep-thinking 7 observes much, senses much, intuits much. They are also classic overthinkers. The barrage of thoughts the 3 influence brings, combined with the 9’s lessons about seeing the whole picture, can make the 7 spiral downward quickly. Naturally insular and ever the perfectionist, when the 7 feels they are not living up to their own potential, they mentally flog themselves. Hard. The Shaman of Wands reversed asks the 7s to take inventory of their own self-standards, and ask if those standards are reasonable. Rather than beating yourself up, ask instead what you can do to feel you measure up to your own yardstick.
8 Birthpath: Shaman of Swords reversed
8s like to shoot straight from the hip, make decisive judgement calls, and strive to be so forthright in their language that they can be rather brutally honest! Under that 3/9 combo, emphasis on paying attention to one’s communication style is paramount. Under this influence, nuance matters – something that 8s don’t always like, as they see it as potentially dishonest and time-wasting. However, the 9 vibe calls us to think of the needs of others first. The Shaman of Wands reversed says to either monitor your words before they leave your mouth, or bite down hard on that lip and say nothing at all. Sometimes silence is truly the best response.
9 Birthpath: 4 of Wands
9s are generous dreamers, idealists, and philosophers. Their focus is on the betterment of the planet, the people, and the world. Inherently passionate and giving to a fault, they can get so focused on those big dreams and that larger picture, they can risk falling out of touch with the people in their immediate environment. The 4 of Wands calls those dreaming 9s back down to earth, reminding them they have love and connection right at their fingertips. Reconnect with the people that support your emotional structure and help you fly. Have a gathering/party. Celebrate those who love you in real time. Get and give all the hugs.
