At long last, after many endings and new beginnings, business is nearly ready to resume! At this time, I anticipate reopening sometime during the week of 18 September, 2023.

For all my lovely and faithful long-time clients, I’ll still be flinging my cards and computing numbers as before. That said, there are a few little changes here and there:
#1: Since I’ll be conducting readings from Portugal for people in different countries, I have decided against using a traditional office phone. Instead, I will offer WhatsApp for those who want a phone reading. WhatsApp also offers video calls for those who prefer the visual component during their sessions. Best of all, all phone and video calls for both of us are free through WhatsApp. Yahoo!
For this option, you will need to download WhatsApp on your device before the time of our reading. You will be provided with the WhatsApp number from which I will call at the time of your reading. Please be advised: this number is not monitored for general office calls or text messages. If you need to reach me or have questions outside of your scheduled reading time, you must reach out to me via email at: bethany@intheknowtarot.com. You may also message me through my Facebook page.
#2: For tax purposes, my husband and I have transitioned over all our income so we are paid only in Euros. To keep our taxes as simple as possible, we are no longer receiving or accepting the USD($) for any payments. Therefore, for my dear US clients, when you purchase a reading through my website, you will be purchasing the reading amount in Euros. If you wish to see the exchange rate before booking a session, you may find that information by using this link from xe.com. Using this website, you will see the exact amount that will be reflected on your bank/billing statement.
#3: Despite inflation, in evaluating a fair and proper balance between the economics of my home country and newly adopted country, I have decided against altering my fees too much. For now, I am keeping the numbers of my fee structures the same; however, the currency itself will change (as per the second point above). My fees are now:
€20/15 minutes (previously $20)
€40/30 minutes (previously $40)
€60/45 minutes (previously $60)
€80/60 minutes (previously $80)
The exchange rate will automatically increase my fees in US$; however, at the time of this writing, it only raises them by a few dollars and is far less than the overall rate of inflation. Again, you may assess the exchange rate in real-time here. I thank you and appreciate your understanding of my situation.
#4: I now live in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. For reference, my new island home is in the same time zone as Iceland. I am 1-2 hours behind mainland Europe, and 4-7 ahead of the continental US. In the name of striking a balance, and keeping balance of my own in my new home, I will be offering limited hours in my afternoons until I find the right equilibrium and rhythm for my business, myself, and my family. This means my availability may be earlier or later than the rest of your day. I apologize for that- bending time zones to my will is a superpower I haven’t yet unlocked (haha)!
#5: Speaking of living in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, my new time zone is a fairly uncommon one, and it’s caused a few unique circumstances. For example, my internet IP is connected to Lisbon, which is one hour ahead of my own time zone. This sometimes causes an hour ‘blip’ on various online calendars. (Not to mention the differences between different countries and when/if they observe Daylight Savings Time. So far, my calendar seems to work fine; however, on your appointment intake form, I’ve added a small text box for you to confirm your time zone and chosen appointment time. From there, I can double check the time zone conversion and ensure we show up at the same time. Thank you in advance for helping me out.
#6: At this time, I will initially list less hours of availability to ensure everything stays manageable. It’s more important to me to bring my best to my clients in smaller amounts than try to reopen with too much gusto and need to pare back later. I may decide to change, expand, or adjust my hours as I learn and we proceed forward. Again, thank you for understanding. I will announce the release of new openings both here and on Facebook, so stay tuned.
#7: Tarot appointments (with light numerology sprinkled in) will be available first. Full numerology charts will follow sometime afterward.
As before, I have the capacity to record your session and send you the recording at no extra cost.
Relocating to a new country is exciting, invigorating, daunting, intimidating, adventurous, and terrifying all at once. There has been so much to do, and it required my complete and full attention, not to mention I needed time to adapt and decompress after such a massive undertaking. I appreciate all of your well-wishes, support, and patience while I’ve been closed. You are wonderful and I am more grateful than I could ever express.
